LABRAINS app interface showing a skin-analysis result and suggested skincare routines

LABRAINS · Latvia

From a practical AI opportunity to a working skin-analysis app

Massimo Bensi implemented a skin-analysis and skincare recommendation app for the Latvian cosmetic company LABRAINS, then presented the work at AI Connect Latvia in Riga.

The problem

LABRAINS had an opportunity to turn skin analysis into a useful skincare recommendation experience within its cosmetic-product workflow. The goal was a working product experience, not an AI demonstration detached from the product.

The work

In 2026, Massimo moved the idea into a working AI-assisted skin-analysis and recommendation app. The workflow analyses skin-related input and supports skincare recommendations within the product experience.

Massimo acquired LABRAINS as a customer and implemented the app in collaboration with DAMMI. DAMMI managed the contract, financial, and signing work because Latvian government funding required a Latvian company to execute the project officially.

Evidence and result

  • A working skin-analysis and skincare recommendation app was implemented for LABRAINS.
  • The app interface shown above provides a view of the product experience.
  • Massimo presented the work at AI Connect Latvia in Riga to a mixed technical and business audience.

What this shows

Practical AI work becomes more useful when it leads to a working workflow that people can understand, assess, and use. This project brought together product thinking, implementation, and clear communication.
